Beaumont Library District now provides Library Direct 2U delivery service to individuals who are unable to visit the library and have no way to pick up their materials from the library. Whether you’re unable to come to BLD because of a permanent or temporary condition, the delivery service keeps our collection accessible, bringing you a variety of materials to keep you informed, entertained, and engaged! Please call 951-845-1357 or email bookmobile@bld.lib.ca.us for more information about services, or to request an application.
Eligibility
Individuals must reside within district boundaries and be confined to their residence, either temporarily due to extended illness/convalescence or permanently due to disability, age, or other medical issue.
Enrollment for Delivery Service
Applications are available at the library, or at the link below. Staff will explain service policies, procedures, and the delivery-use library card during the application approval process.
Homebound Delivery Service Enrollment FormBorrowing Items
Materials can be checked out for two weeks. Some items may not be renewed (DVDs, items with holds, etc.), and no materials may be borrowed longer than six weeks total. Staff will help you select your materials, either by direct request or based on your interests and preferences.
Patrons are still responsible for materials that are lost or damaged while in their care.
Deliveries & Returns
Staff will deliver new material and pick up items to return every two weeks. Any changes to scheduled visits will be communicated to patrons. Staff will not enter private residences or provide other services to patrons.
Suspension and Termination of Service
The library has the right to suspend or terminate service to any patron who does not meet the terms and conditions of the service policy. Excessive late returns, loss, or damage of library materials may result in discontinuation of lending of specific types of materials or suspension or termination of delivery service.
